David Occhino

Screenwriter

David Occhino has worked as a location scout and manager in both television and film for the past twelve years. Presently, he works as the assistant location manager for CBS’s, The Good Wife. He optioned his first screenplay, Ricky Stanicky, to Smart Entertainment (Blades of Glory, Anger Management). The script was then bought by Summit Entertainment (The Hurt Locker, Twilight) and Joaquin Phoenix is attached to star in the film. David also wrote and produced his own independent feature film, Motherless Child. The film was selected as the best feature film at the 2007 Philafilm Festival. David’s screenplay, The Irish Funny Papers was a finalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Contest and also a finalist at TheQueens International Film Festival. David has also written three stage plays. His first play, Some Time Off, was the winner of The Peddie Playwright Contest. David was hired last year to adapt the acclaimed novel, A Day in The Rough, into an episodic television series. David is represented by Rogues Gallery Management.
